Focusrite Saffire Pro 24 adalah converter 4 input yang ditujukan untuk home recording. Converter ini memiliki keunggulan yaitu sudah memakai chipset yang memiliki fitur anti jitter, dan dynamic range yang cukup lebar untuk menghasilkan hasil yang professional.

Input satu dan dua adalah neutrik combo yang mana bagian pinggir nya adalah XLR input untuk koneksi ke microphone. Bagian tengah nya adalah jack input yang mana :

• Bisa menerima line level signal misalnya dari keyboard out
• Atau menerima instrument level signal untuk penggunaan direct bass atau gitar

Apabila pengguna memilih instrument level, maka lampu indikator akan menyala ( lihat di bawah tomboh gain 1 dan 2 ). Di bawah kedua tombol gain adalah sebuah switch yang akan menyalakan phantom power apabila pengguna ingin menggunakan condenser mic.

Input tiga dan empat berada di belakang berupa line input. Converter ini juga memiliki ADAT input sehingga memungkinkan nya untuk di expand menjadi 12 input dengan menambahkan pre amp dengan koneksi ADAT / Optical.

Keunggulan lain dari Focusrite Saffire Pro 24 adalah converter ini sudah disertai Mixer DSP. Seperti bisa kita lihat, bagian atas adalah beberapa fader layaknya mixer analog yang akan biasa kita gunakan untuk mengatur level. Baik input pada converter maupun input melalui ADAT / Opctical in dengan mudahnya akan kita atur level nya melalui DSP Mixer tersebut.

Keunggulan dari DSP Mixer adalah, apa yg kita atur disini tidak akan mempengaruhi signal yang direkam di DAW kita ( misalnya cubase / sonar ). Jadi saat rekaman, kita mengatur signal level kita melalui tombol gain. Setelah itu barulah mengatur volume yg ingin kita dengar menggunakan mixer DSP ini.
